 Metamora's Celebration of the Horse Festival is Back | | Upon last year’s retirement of Carol Yunkes, there was much concern
about the cancellation of the 2011 festival and the indefinite
postponement of this wonderful celebration of “everything equine.” The
public outcry was tremendous. So many were disappointed. The Metamora
Area Chamber of Commerce (MACC) phone line was flooded with calls
questioning the cancellation of the festival. After much discussion and
consideration, it was decided to bring back the event this year with
much optimism that the 2012 Celebration of the Horse will be bigger and
even better than before. The event date is Saturday, September 29,
